Your privacy
Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Good Samaritan Software LLC (“Good Samaritan Software,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use StarDoku (the “App”). StarDoku does not require an account.
1. Information stored on your device
StarDoku stores game information locally so the App can function. This includes campaign progress, completed levels, tutorial state, personal scores and gameplay statistics, active attempts, mistakes, hint and reveal use, power-up balances, selected critter skin, accessibility preferences, music/sound/haptic settings, and purchase-entitlement cache.
The App creates a random anonymous install identifier for its local gameplay-statistics log. It is not an advertising identifier, is not connected to your name or email by StarDoku, and is not currently sent to a Good Samaritan Software analytics server. StarDoku does not include a first-party cloud analytics or leaderboard service at launch.
The local gameplay-statistics log retains the newest 2,000 attempts. Using Delete Local Stats removes that log, its random identifier, attempt counters, and any in-progress statistics snapshot. Other local game information remains until you clear the App's storage or uninstall the App. StarDoku disables Android cloud backup so local economy and purchase-claim state cannot be restored to an older value.
2. Advertising
StarDoku uses Google AdMob to provide banner, interstitial, and optional rewarded advertisements. Depending on your device, region, consent choices, and Google configuration, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may process an IP address (which may estimate general location), device or advertising identifiers, app interactions, advertisements viewed, diagnostic data, and performance information. Google uses this information for advertising, measurement, analytics, fraud prevention, security, and related purposes.
Where required, StarDoku presents Google's consent choices before requesting ads. On iOS, the App requests App Tracking Transparency permission before accessing the advertising identifier when that request is applicable. You may change available advertising privacy choices from StarDoku Settings. You can also control advertising identifiers and tracking permissions in your device settings.
Purchasing Remove Ads removes StarDoku's banner and automatic interstitial placements. Optional rewarded ads remain available because you choose whether to watch them for an in-game benefit.
3. Purchases
StarDoku uses RevenueCat to validate and restore in-app purchases and entitlements. RevenueCat may process an automatically generated anonymous RevenueCat App User ID, purchase receipts or tokens, product and transaction information, purchase history, and entitlement status. We do not provide RevenueCat with your name, email address, StarDoku local statistics identifier, or advertising identifier.
Apple or Google processes your payment credentials and store account. We do not receive your payment-card or bank-account details. The stores may provide purchase and transaction information needed to deliver, restore, prevent fraud, refund, and support purchases.
4. Support communications
If you contact support, we receive the information you choose to provide, such as your email address, message, screenshots, device details, or store order information. Do not send passwords, full payment-card numbers, or other unnecessary sensitive information. We use support information to respond, troubleshoot, prevent abuse, and maintain business records.
5. How information is disclosed
Information may be disclosed:
- to Google for advertising, measurement, security, and fraud prevention;
- to RevenueCat and the applicable app store to process purchases;
- to service providers that help us operate support and business systems;
- when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security; or
- as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of the business.
We do not sell personal information for money. Advertising-related data processing may be considered a “sale,” “sharing,” or targeted advertising under some privacy laws. Where applicable, use the consent and privacy controls described above or contact us to exercise available rights.
6. Retention
We retain support communications and business records only as long as reasonably necessary for support, legal compliance, fraud prevention, accounting, and dispute resolution. Google, RevenueCat, Apple, and Google Play retain information under their own policies and legal obligations.
7. Your choices and rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. Contact us to make a request. We may need information to verify the request. You can remove locally stored App data by using available reset controls or deleting the App. Remove Ads can be restored through the app store; consumable balances generally are not restorable after they have been consumed.
8. Children
StarDoku is intended for a general audience age 13 and older and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly ask children under 13 to provide personal information. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us so we can review and address it.
9. International processing and security
Our service providers may process information in countries other than yours. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no storage or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure.
10. Third-party policies
11. Changes
We may update this policy as StarDoku or legal requirements change. We will post the revised policy and update its effective date. Material changes may also be communicated in the App or store listing.
