Using StarDoku
Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of StarDoku (the “App”), provided by Good Samaritan Software LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. Eligibility
StarDoku is intended for users age 13 and older. If you have not reached the age of legal majority where you live, a parent or legal guardian must review and agree to these Terms for you.
2. License
Subject to these Terms and the applicable app-store rules, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on devices you own or control for personal, non-commercial entertainment.
3. Gameplay and local data
StarDoku is a logic puzzle game. Scores, progress, statistics, skins, power-up balances, and settings may be stored locally on your device. Unless a feature explicitly says otherwise, they are not an online ranking, cash balance, or guarantee of permanent cloud storage. Removing the App or clearing its data may erase local progress and consumable balances.
4. In-app purchases and virtual items
The App may offer optional purchases such as Remove Ads, hint packs, reveal packs, or continues. Prices and taxes are shown by Apple or Google before purchase. The applicable app store processes payment and governs billing, cancellation, and refund requests.
- Remove Ads removes StarDoku banner and automatic interstitial ads. It does not disable optional rewarded ads that you choose to watch for an in-game benefit.
- Consumables are added in the quantity displayed and are used when you activate the corresponding feature. Consumed items generally cannot be restored after use.
- Virtual items and scores have no cash value, cannot be transferred, and cannot be exchanged outside the App.
Parents and guardians are responsible for managing device purchase controls for minors.
5. Advertising
The free App may display banner and interstitial advertisements. It also offers optional rewarded advertisements. Ads are provided by third parties and may open external content. We do not control every third-party destination, and visiting it is subject to that provider's terms and privacy practices.
6. Acceptable use
You may not:
- copy, sell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the App;
- reverse engineer or bypass security or purchase controls except where law permits;
- interfere with the App, stores, advertising, or purchase systems;
- use automation or manipulation to falsify purchases, rewards, or scores; or
- use the App unlawfully or infringe another person's rights.
7. Ownership
StarDoku, its software, puzzle content, characters, artwork, audio, designs, and trademarks are owned by or licensed to Good Samaritan Software LLC and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Third-party components remain subject to their respective licenses.
8. Availability and updates
We may update, rebalance, add, remove, suspend, or discontinue App features where reasonably necessary. Store, advertising, and purchase services may be unavailable due to networks, provider outages, regional availability, maintenance, or legal requirements. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or that every feature will remain unchanged.
9. Disclaimers
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so they may not apply to you.
10. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, GOOD SAMARITAN SOFTWARE LLC AND ITS MEMBERS, EMPLOYEES, AND SERVICE PROVIDERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST DATA, PROGRESS, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM THE APP. OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE APP DURING THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR THE MINIMUM AMOUNT REQUIRED BY APPLICABLE LAW.
11. Applicable law and disputes
These Terms are governed by applicable contract and consumer-protection laws, including any mandatory rights in your place of residence. Before filing a formal claim, please contact us and allow a reasonable opportunity to resolve the issue informally.
12. Changes and termination
We may update these Terms by posting a revised version and effective date. Continued use after the change means you accept the revised Terms where permitted by law. We may suspend or terminate access for a material violation of these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive.
13. General
These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the agreement between you and us regarding the App, subject to mandatory app-store terms. If one provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain effective. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them as part of a business transfer.
